The meeting of Shunji-kun and Araki-kun, who are representing the D-Boys’ opinion about love. The two who are co-starring in BeeTV drama 「GIFT～今夜、幸せの時間をお届けします。～」(Gift ~Tonight we'll bring you happiness~) will show a love battle about their method to make their beloved person happy. Who is your ideal boyfriend?
Q: Tell us your perfect plan for a date!
A: The place to go to is an amusement park. First, we’ll go to the rent-a-car shop together, we’ll choose a car together and we’ll also decide about the music that we’ll be listening to in the car together. Even if our taste of music is different, I want to discuss it (laugh). Then, we’ll master the roller caster or haunted house or such; I want to be in high spirits as much as possible.
S: My date will have no plan or it'll just go by chance (laugh). Like, I’ll call my girlfriend suddenly and if she has free time, I’ll ask “Shall we go somewhere right now?”. Then, depending on my partner’s condition, we’ll decide the place to go. I think, the boy’s ability is tested by the decisions made throughout the date. The content will be all my own choice. Of course, the meal of the date will be pasta (laugh). Or, I’ll search for the favourite meal of the girl in a conversation before casually and take her to a restaurant of her taste.
A: That’s cool. I’ll take her to the amusement park; I want to think about trivial things together. Then, if I’m hungry, I’ll say “I want to eat the meal of the day” (laugh). If I am told “I want to eat Chinese food”, we’ll eat a ramen meal set in a Chinese restaurant (laugh). But for sure, if I say what I want to eat, she’ll agree to it, I think.
S: It’s important to either adjust to your girlfriend but also to let be adjusted, right?
Q: Your girlfriend falls down while you’re walking together. What will you do?
A: If she fell down loudly and nosebleed or such is coming, I’d immediately wipe it off with my hands (laugh). If she’s a cheerful person, I’ll say “Hey, what are you doing?!” and while laughing like a joke I’ll wipe it. If she’s a woman who has a beautiful appearance, I’ll say “Are you okay?” and wipe it worriedly.
S: I’ll do nothing but laugh a lot (laugh). Or, I’ll cry together with her. Saying “Huu~n, it hurts~” ….no, while saying that, I’ll be laughing (laugh). Because such a time will be very embarrassing, it’s better to laugh and make jokes, I think.
A: If the tention was really high, I'll stretch my body and act childish. I’ll say “What are you doing~?” and while running over to her, I’ll also fall (laugh).
S: Hahaha. This is a high class technique (laugh).
A: Then I’ll go and buy wet tissues and we’ll wipe our nosebleed together (laugh).
Q: How do you cheer up your girlfriend when she is feeling down?
A: If she’s feeling down because of a bad result at an exam, I’ll say “I’m even worse than you, but I’m still living joyfully. So, don’t worry about it so much.”. If she’s feeling down because of a mistake at work, I won’t say anything but make a meal for her. Then, I’ll fail at cooking and will say “As expected, I can’t do it, so can you help me?” and we’ll cook together (laugh). Like that I want her feeling to change to the better side.
S: That’s so nice. Arayan is Japan’s best men! (laugh) I’ll talk with her strictly whether she’s a student or a working adult. “If you made a mistake, then restore it!” If she starts crying, I’ll do/it’ll be a backdrop* (laugh). From then on, she’ll definitely become joyful again. I want my girlfriend to have a happy face.
A: Yes, I understand. To let her forget the bad things, there’s also the method of backdrop, right? (laugh)
S: Yes, yes. It means that the love of each person has a different form! (laugh)
Q: When you get the message from your girlfriend “I want to see you right now…” in the night, what will you do?
A: I’ll immediately go to see her! It depends on the circumstances, but with my feelings I want to go to see her.
S: That’s right. Because if I had work on the next day or so, it’d be impossible to go, so I’ll make a video call to see her face and talk to her, I think.
A: Before it comes to such a situation, I’d maybe say “If you want to see me, you can come to my home anytime.”.
S: Then it’s not “I want to see you” but you’ll be more asked “Is it okay if I’ll visit you?”. Then it’ll become a “I will come!”.
A: Yes, a man definitely will feel like that. Both persons want to meet each other, but if you’ll be told this, the feeling to go and meet her yourself will get stronger.
Q: What will you do for your girlfriend on her birthday?
A: Because I want to spend the moment when it’ll be her birthday together with her, we’ll have a date on the day before. I’ll take her to the places she wants to go to and I’ll buy those things she wants to have for her. At the moment when the date of the day changes, I’ll say “Omedetou! (Congratulations)” Then, I’ll give her the pair rings that I bought before. As a present, I want to give both, what my girlfriend wants to have and also something where I put my feelings into.
S: I agree with his! I usually will plan the date by myself, but for the birthday I want us both to think about it. The present will be an album which is filled with a lot of pictures which we took together. Like “7th day since we met first. We came to be really close from then on.” or such I’ll write down events and will give my best in decorating it. Or, I’ll make a video letter. I’ll make it with the celebration comments of the people around my girlfriend that I’ll receive. On the birthday, I will monopolize but everyone will congratulate her. It’ll definitely make her happy!
A: This is great.
S: I had a special idea, right? I’d be glad If I could do something like that one day.
Q: What are the words of your greatest love confession in your history?
A: It’s my desire to say “You are mine! (literally: You are my thing)”. But saying “thing” has a rude sense, so I can’t say it. It’s different to “You are my girl!” right? I want to say it one day, but I think, I won’t have the courage to say it in my whole life.
S: I understand this feeling. Because your girlfriend is not a “thing”. I simply say “suki♡ (I like you)”. If it’s the words for the greatest love, wouldn’t every person be the happiest to hear “suki”? Because, usually I don’t want to say anything with rashness. Only if I really think “I like her sooo much!!”, I want to say “suki♡" naturally.
A: I usually say that. I’ll faithfully write mails and also if I don’t hear/ask anything, I’ll say “suki”. In these moments when we’re together and my feelings are flooding or such, I’ll say it naturally.
S: Which words a girl wants to hear in reality, we want to ask the readers.
A: Yes. If you have beautiful words in exchange for “You are mine”, please tell it JUNON! (laugh)
